Hosi Music Policies

In the policies below,

“You” means the person who is responsible for a student’s account with Hosi Music;
“We” means Hosi Music;
“Term” means a period of time from the beginning of the QLD Government School term to the end of the school term;

“Credit” means lesson time owed by Hosi Music to the student.

I. Cancellation Policy:

While a student normally attends lessons on a regular (weekly) basis, at times, attendance of a particular lesson becomes impossible.

Reasons can be twofold – Hosi Music Educator absence or student absence.

  • Student absence, please inform your Hosi Music Educator as soon as you become aware of the given situation (where the student cannot attend a particular lesson that you paid for), in case the Educator is out of reach notify Hosi Music Admin on 1300 153 331.
  • Hosi Music Educator absence, Hosi Music will inform you as soon as possible of either a suitable replacement or issue you a lesson credit. Deciding not to attend due to having a relief Hosi Music Educator will forfeit the lesson credit.
1. A lesson is cancelled by you, with more than 48 hour notice:
  • The cancelled lesson will earn you 1 lesson credit.
  • You may have 3 such cancellations within a Term.
  • Lesson credits can be carried over beyond the end of a Term.
  • It is your responsibility to notify Hosi Music Administration of absent lessons, not your educators.

Lesson credits are transferable to other students/ friends as gifts.
Make up lessons can be held after a scheduled lesson in the event that the proceeding student is away. Redeemable against workshop or clinics cost.
Lesson Credits are not redeemable for cash.
If you no show for a make up lesson using your lesson credit, you will forfeit that lesson credit.

2. A lesson is cancelled by you, with less than 48 hour notice:
  • Due to the short notice, no lesson credit can be given (Hosi Music Educator is still paid).
  • The unattended lesson will not be replaced and no lesson credit is owed.
  • The fee paid for the unattended lesson is forfeited.
3. A the student is a “No-Show”:
  • Due to the no notice, no credit is given.
  • The unattended lesson will not be replaced and no lesson credit is owed.
  • The fee paid for the unattended lesson is forfeited.
4. You call during the missed lesson, informing of non-attendance
  • Due to the no notice, no lesson credit is given.
  • The unattended lesson will not be replaced and no lesson credit is owed.
  • The fee paid for the unattended lesson is forfeited.
5. The student arrives late for the lesson, with or without advanced notice
  • No lesson credit is given for the missed time.
  • The lesson will not be extended beyond it’s scheduled end-time.
  • If the student is more than 15 minutes late, the lesson may not be held at all and no credit is owed.
6. Multiple, subsequent lessons cancelled with at least 1-month notice (e.g. planned overseas trip)
  • If you will be absent for more than 3 lessons consecutively with more than 48 hours notice (i.e. planned overseas trip) your scheduled lesson time may be forfeited to keep the schedule efficient for the Hosi Music Educator.
  • Lessons are discontinued with a possible re-enrolment; however, we may be unable to provide the time slot originally held.
7. Multiple, subsequent lessons cancelled due to long-term illness
  • If you will be absent for more than 3 lessons consecutively with more than 48 hours notice “out of action”, your scheduled lesson time may be forfeited to keep the schedule efficient for the Hosi Music Educator.
  • Lessons are discontinued with a possible re-enrolment; however, we may be unable to provide the time slot originally held.
8. Hosi Music Educator Absence

A suitable substitute Hosi Music Educator might be appointed to take the lesson.

  • Notice to students is given when possible.

If you choose not to attend due to the change of educator, no lesson credit is issued and you will forfeit any monies paid.

II. Payment Options

Payment method used by Hosi Music is Direct Debit. The DD has an admin fee, which will be included on the invoice. Each lesson is valued at it’s price + GST.

Options:

  1. Payment for the full school term, calculated according to the number of lessons in the term + GST + DD fees.
  2. Payment in 2 or 3 installments. Calculating the full amount, dividing it by 2 or 3 and adding GST + DD fees.

A late payment fee will apply. This is not a lock in contract.

III. Continuation and discontinuation of lesson:

* Whole term enrollment – Enrollment with Hosi Music are on a termly basis. Students are expected to attend lessons for the whole school term. In case the student no longer wishes to continue he/she should conclude the term and the parents/responsible notify Hosi Music of the cancelation for the following term. Parents/responsible will be charged for the whole term. If a student decides to stop coming for the lessons fees will not be refunded.

  • Once enrolled with Hosi Music, the student will be automatically booked for the following terms. In case the student no longer wishes to continue for the following term a written notice to info@hosimusic.com is required.
